Miniature Wonderland:


The largest model railway in the world and one of the most visited permanent exhibitions in Northern Germany is located in the HafenCity. Kids and Dads will love driving trains and moving railroad crossings by themselves. Panoptikum – Waxworks:


The oldest waxworks gallery in Germany is located in St. Pauli for over 130 years. The spell of waxworks and reality will take you to a journey through this exhibition – you will meet very close with important statesmen of history, genies’ of culture and sciences, idols of sports, show- and music business and politicians. In the HafenCity’s oldest storage from 1878 you find the International Maritime Museum today. This worldwide unique exhibition shows about 27,000 ship models, 35,000 construction plans of ships, nautical equipment, paintings and graphics. Visitors are taken to an exciting expedition of 3,000 years of Marine history.

This interactice children museum invites your offspring to join in at any time: themes of the permanent exhibition are „Meet your body“, „Grandma’s everyday life“ with a household in the 50‘s and „Money – all good!“ where kids can make their own money and spend it again in a shop, swap meet and find out more about the history of money. In nice weather they can be Bob the builder outside on the „Building site – Please come in“ : lay bricks, repair the roof, do plumber works or glue tiles.

Hamburger Kunsthalle (Art Hall):


„Kinderzeit“ in the Hamburg Art Hall is a great idea for families if you want to visit the exhibiton on a Saturday: pedagogues of the museum take all children on a discovery tour explaining artworks in a playful way to make it much more interesting for kids. After the tour, every junior can be an artist and do his own piece of artwork by drawing, printing, constructing and cutting. Children will experience how exciting a visit at the museum can be.
